Summary

This article covers a basic overview of the Patient Portal.

Table of Contents

Subjects/Patients have the option to enter ePRO information from a web browser, as well as iOS or Android

applications. Patients who use the web portal and mobile apps will use a unique designated PIN to access the system.

This PIN is generated and sent to the Patient directly based on the following:

  • Study Configuration settings for Registration Form and Enrollment Trigger
  • Create Notification E-mail options (link at the Study Form Builder)

The following URL should be used for Patients who need to access the Web Patient Portal:

https://participant.datatrakdirect.com/

The Datatrak Direct app can be downloaded from the App store on iOS devices, or the Google Play store on Android

devices.

Upon initial login, the Patient User will be required to:

  • Accept the User Privacy Policy
  • Set Timezone (will determine the default Visit date/time for each form entry made by Patient)
  • Set Date/Time format (Web Only)
  • Complete data entry on the designated Informed Consent form (only when Informed Consent configuration is

enabled for the Study)

The following additional optional selections may also be presented:

  • Phone Number - currently the Phone Number option only provides the ability to receive 2-factor authentication

codes by text, when 2-factor authentication is enabled for the Study

  • Do not send notification (iOS only) - when enabled, this prevents the user from receiving ePRO related email and

push notifications.

When Informed Consent configuration is enabled for the Study, the Patient user will be required to complete and save

the designated Informed Consent form before they can access any other forms in the Patient Portal. The user will be

prompted to do this from the Home screen upon successful log in. A status indictor will be visible to the Patient which

confirms consent status as well.

On the Web, user selects Open to access the form:

On iOS, user selects the row for Informed Consent to access the form:

On Android, user selects eConsent to access the form:
