Summary

This article covers the User Preferences that a Participant User will have access to in the Participant portal on Web, iOS, and Android.

Important: Participant Users will only be required to accept the Privacy Policy, and set Time Zone and/or Time/Date format related options. All other options in the User Preferences are optional.


User Preferences can be accessed and updated at any time under User Preferences.

User Preferences options available include:

  1. Date Format (Web only) – the selected Date Format shall be used for all Date fields at the time of form entry.
  2. Time Format (Web only) – the selected Time Format shall be used for all Date fields at the time of form entry.
  3. Time Zone – the selected Time Zone will determine the following:
    1. the default date and/or time that displays for a Visit Date, and 
    2. the default when the calendar icon is selected on a non-Visit Date field in the form. 
  4. Phone Number – When a patient in a study with Enable Two Factor Authentication enabled logs into the web or app on a new device for the first time, and a valid phone number is stored for the user, the phone number associated with the account will get an Authentication text which includes the Two-Factor Authentication code.
  5. Do not send notifications option (iOS only) - when enabled, this option will prevent the user from receiving any ePRO related email and push notifications. 
    1. The Do not send ePRO configuration option is to be disabled by default.
