Summary

This article describes the Action Item Report and how it can be used to look for missing records or records that need to be reviewed.

Table of Contents

The Action Item Report is a daily report user can use to check for records that are missing (past due) or records that need review, depending on the user's role. This report is accessible through both a web browser and a mobile device.

Items within the report that users can see will depend on the permissions granted to them by the Study Manager.

This report is dynamic and offers an option to quickly navigate to the Subject Manager or the form by selecting links within the report results in each section on the Web, or by selecting a row within the report results on the app.

On a Web Browser:

The features of the Action Item Report are as follows:

  1. Data changes awaiting reason: List of all records containing data changes where a reason for the change was not provided after the form was re-saved. Reasons must be provided before the record can be opened and viewed by other users. A Resolve All option is also available which allows a Reason for Data Change to be applied to all open items.
  2. Missing Scheduled Forms: List of scheduled visit forms that are past their visit window. The Rebuild button under this section, when selected, will update the Scheduled visits that are applied to the Scheduled Visits screen for applicable Subjects.
  3. Saved Draft Records: List of all forms saved as Draft. This will only appear when use of Draft records has been enabled at Study Configuration.
  4. Forms with Open Queries: List of all forms containing open queries.
  5. Data Review Action Items: Depending on the study workflow, this section will list the records ready for review.  Any user can open records from the list, but only a monitor (or designated workflow user) will be able to actually perform a review on the record. There are bulk action options available here, including the ability to bulk lock and/or bypass forms. See image below for button options.
